A whole new generation of Christians has come up believing that it is possible to ‘accept’ Christ without forsaking the world.
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. Matthew 10:38
-C. S. Lewis, The Last Battle
The concept of eternity.
There’s a thing, an earthly thing, that overwhelmed me with pleasure when I did it, even when I just thought about it. All the time, “This is really my passion!” popped up on my mind. And when I found out the message in this song, my mind blown. Yes, any of us have that stuff call passion in those things that may be popped up on our mind right now. But, there’s a consuming passion, a magnificent obsession beyond all those things we can count as our passions. It is Jesus; doing all things that we desire for Him alone. There’s many of us that still chase after our own dreams and let ourselves chained by lust. Now, all we need is to let God take us back to the cross and make us lost in the wonder of His love. And let Him be our consuming passion, our magnificent obsession.
This is everything I want
This is everything I need
I want this to be my one consuming passion
Everything my heart desires
Lord, I want it all to be for You
Jesus, be my magnificent obsession
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. -Romans 12:2 (NIV)
Really thanking God for another lesson learned. And, thanks to Steven Curtis Chapman for writing such a great song. God bless you.
Check out the song and the complete lyric in my previous post. Hope this post be a blessing for you all, guys.
